Hi, I am Louisa! I am based in Gillingham, Dorset and I have been a family photographer for nine years, in fact I started getting into photography way before that when I had two of my own children. I wanted to be able to document every little moment as I knew it would go far too quickly. From awkward teens to tricky toddlers, the secret is to bring everyone together in a natural environment where they can relax, forget the camera and enjoy being in each other’s company.
I love photographing families, everything from the smiles and giggles, to the tantrums and tears. You just be authentically you and I will capture it all! You won’t get perfectly posed family images, or fake smiles and stiff poses on your family photoshoot. Instead, you’ll receive images of your family and children in their element…the chaos, the giggles and the love.
Whether it’s the leaves, the sunshine, the smiles or the wind-swept hair, they are memories you’ll treasure for a lifetime.

A Natural Approach to Timeless Family Photography
I love all the emotion that comes with documentary family photography, On a photo shoot expect us to either go out for a walk together along the stunning Dorset beaches, country woodland walks, or you may opt for my garden studio, the park or in the comfort of your own home. Wherever your choice for a shoot it is important to me that you choose somewhere that is special and comfortable. On our shoot I just want you to engage with each other and I will document the laughter, the tears, and the shared experiences that define your family.

I love to freeze moments in time but also create a visual narrative of your family. I often have families that have come to me over the years and it is so lovely to capture them growing up. to cherish the laughter and the connection between you all providing you with something tangible in the years to come.

The Garden Room Studio is located at my home and has been designed to have heaps of natural light. It is designed to have various sections with different backdrops for your photos. The Garden Studio is perfect for families with young children under the age of ten years with a maximum of six people. Where you play, cuddle and relax all whilst having your photos taken.

My newborn photography sessions are designed to gently capture these memories in a way that feels natural, intimate, and true to your story.
