Do you charge for travel?

I do not charge additional travel cost for weddings within two hours of Gillingham Dorset. Anything further afield is charged fairly and will be discussed before booking.

Question 3

How do I choose my images from the shoot?

Accepted Answer

I will upload all the edited images from your shoot and put them into a password-protected, private gallery for you to view, you can then choose the agreed number of images from here. Depending on your package, wedding couples will also receive their images on a USB along with a few printed photographs. They are all high-resolution files so you can upload and print them as many times as you wish.

I am camera shy – help!

Me too! I hate having my photo taken and can completely empathise with you. During couple portraits , family shoots, engagement shoots I prompt rather than pose so they will be very natural shots. During a wedding I promise you won't even know I am there half the time.

Question 5

I'm getting married - do you offer an engagement shoot?

Accepted Answer

I love to photograph engagement shoots. Engagement shoots are additional to my wedding packages, however, I believe they are the perfect opportunity for us to get to know each other before the big day. You can see some images from recent engagement shoots here.

Question 6

How long until we get our wedding day images?

Accepted Answer

Please allow eight weeks after your wedding day, to allow me time to fully edit each image with care.

Will you take formal group photos?

Accepted Answer

Yes, of course, I will. This is your big day and everyone wants a few traditional photos of their family and friends. Having seen examples of my work, you know that I have a reportage and documentary style to my photography. I would much rather you be enjoying the day so that I catch those emotional moments naturally rather than spending hours looking for Great Aunt Edith! I therefore strongly suggest you limit your number of group shots to a maximum of eight.

Are you insured?

Yes, I have public liability insurance and professional identity insurance

Question 9

What will happen if you are ill or circumstances prevent you from being able to get to our wedding day?

Accepted Answer

I will do everything in my power to be there but I do make arrangements with another photographer so that they can get to your wedding day if I can’t.

Question 10

Do you have an assistant?

Accepted Answer

Depending on your package, I will either have an assistant or a second photographer with me on your wedding day. All the images will be edited by myself so there is the same finish.

Can we have your RAW files and edit the images ourselves?

I’m sorry but I don’t give out any of my original RAW files and I do all the editing myself.

Can I share my images on social media?

Accepted Answer

Yes, I would encourage you to do this. It’s a great way for all your friends and family to catch up with the images taken on the big day. I will also do a blog of some of the images from the day and you can share this as well.

Question 13

Do we own the copyright to our images?

Accepted Answer

The photographs from your day are yours to keep, share and print as you like and there is absolutely no watermarking. However, technically you do not own the copyright to the images, but all this means is that you can't enter the photographs into competitions, modify them or sell them. If printing yourselves, please be aware that some printers are far better than others.
